July 11-July 15 Mental Health with Introduction to Dr. Kim Swanson. Dr. Swanson recently joined the provider team at SCFC-R. Her role is to help patients identify barriers to good health and provide resources to overcome those barriers.

SCFC-Redmond is a Providence Choice Medical Home
St. Charles Family Care - Redmond was selected by Providence Health Plan as a Medical Home for their new Providence Choice benefit plan. Providence Health Plan and the State of Oregon Public Employee's Benefit Board (PEBB) have collaborated to provide Central Oregon PEBB members with a new, high quality, affordable benefit plan called PROVIDENCE CHOICE. Members of this plan will select a primary care "Medical Home". Patients will work with their primary care physician within the Medical Home to coordinate all aspects of their medical care.
The Choice Plan is effective January 1, 2011.
St. Charles Family Care - Redmond is accepting new patients including Choice Plan Members and we look forward to working with all our patients to make 2011 their healthiest year.
IF YOU ARE A PROVIDENCE CHOICE MEMBER, You should have received a welcome letter and health history forms in the mail. Please return the health history form to the Clinic as soon as possible. The information you complete on the form is required to make sure we can work together to provide you with a personalized health care plan.
SCFC-Redmond's Patient and Family Advisory Board Is Up and Running!
The St. Charles Family Care-Redmond Patient and Family Advisory Board has begun work to improve health care in your comunity! Five patients have voluntered their time and experience to work on projects designed to improve Clinic health care services. Their first project is improvement of communication between patients, caregivers and physicians from the beginning to the end of the patient's Clinic encounter. The Board members have brought to light a patient's perspective of our service and we are excited about the opportunity improve communication that will result in a superior patient experience. A New Addition to the St. Charles Family Care - Redmond Family of Physicians
Our Clinic welcomes Nathan Thompson, M.D. to our physician group. Dr. Thompson moved to Redmond from the Seattle area. In addition to Primary Care, Dr. Thompson provides obstetric services and is currently accepting new patients.
Dr. Thompson, his wife, son and new baby daughter are already enjoying the recreational opportunities available in Central Oregon and especially appreciate the short commute to work and play! Find out more about Dr. Thompson on our "Physicians" page.
